COP29 2024

The Conference of the Parties, or COP, brings together the member states of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, each year, for two weeks, to advance the scope of the Paris Agreements, specifically maintaining the increase in global average temperature as close as possible to 1.5 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels.

The next edition, COP29, will be held in Baku, Azerbaijan, from November 11 to 22, 2024.

Philanthropy Cortes Solari, through the MERI Foundation, once again organizes the SCIENCE FOR CLIMATE ACTION pavilion, together with the IPCC and the WMO, seeking to promote the role of science in decision-making, as well as the dissemination of technical knowledge and that the scientific community and social organizations produce.
